Support for Toy Appeal

Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley is backing the Hamilton Advertiser’s Christmas Toy Appeal.

Supported by the Hamilton branch of the Salvation Army, the appeal helps families in need across South Lanarkshire during the festive period.

Toy banks will be set up to collect donations this month before they will be distributed to families across South Lanarkshire in the run up to Christmas.

Donations can include new toys for girls and boys, pyjamas (all sizes), winter woolies, sports sets/games, baby clothes and gifts for children aged new born to 12.

For older children, aged 13 and up, items such as fragrance sets, make up, handbags, costume jewellery, footballs and gift cards can be donated.

Commenting, Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley said:

“I am delighted to be able to support the Hamilton Advertiser’s Christmas Toy Appeal.

“Every year, they go above and beyond for children and families in South Lanarkshire who would otherwise have gone without at Christmas.

“Initiatives like this highlight the community spirit in South Lanarkshire where local people rally to support those in need.”
