Have your say on Hamilton’s future
As the Member of Parliament for Lanark and Hamilton East I am invested in the town’s future and success. I want our town centre to reflect the needs and wishes of its residents, business owners and visitors in the years to come. While South Lanarkshire Council are making plans to regenerate the area, I want to make sure everyone who uses Hamilton Town Centre has the opportunity to have their say.
As a result, I have launched a consultation to allow you to have your voice heard on your vision for the future of our town centre. The responses will be gathered and collated by my team to form a report which will be presented to key stakeholders including the council.
The last town centre consultation took place in 2016-17 and since then we have witnessed significant economic challenges, including the pandemic. It is now time to consider the challenges and opportunities for the town centre and give the community a chance to have their voices heard in shaping its future.
