Summer Surgery Tour

Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley will be visiting residents across the constituency during her week-long Summer Surgery Tour which begins on Monday 24 July.

The tour, which takes place during the UK Parliament summer recess, has been set up to allow residents of Uddingston, Quarter, Braidwood, Kirkfieldbank, Carnwath, Carstairs, Tarbrax, Forth, Netherburn and Dalserf the opportunity to speak with their Member of the UK Parliament about issues affecting their lives.

The surgeries will take place in local community halls and constituents homes. Constituents are invited to community halls with no appointment necessary and can call 01698 200 065 to make a home appointment.

On Monday 24 July, Ms Crawley will be available at Uddingston Community Centre from 10am to 12pm, and will be at the Quarter Bowling Club from 2pm to 4pm.

On Tuesday 25 July, she will visit Braidwood Community Hall from 10am to 12pm, and will be at the Riverside Tavern in Kirkfieldbank from 2pm to 4pm.

Wednesday 26 July Angela will visit constituents homes in Carnwath from 10am to 12pm, and will be at the Carstairs Community Hall from 2pm to 4pm.

On Thursday 27 July, Ms Crawley will visit Tarbrax Community Hall from 10am to 12pm, and Forth Community Hall from 2pm to 4pm.

The Summer Surgery Tour will finish on Friday 28 July, when Ms Crawley will be in Netherburn visiting constituents homes from 10am to 12pm, and Dalserf Primary School Community Wing from 2pm to 4pm.

Ms Crawley said: “When I was first elected two years ago I promised to be as accessible as possible to all constituents.

“I have held Summer Surgery Tours during each summer recess and have found they are the most effective way to allow people in less accessible places in the constituency to meet with me.

“Anyone who lives within the constituency is welcome to attend and I look forward to meeting with my constituents and offering my assistance with whatever issues they face.”
