Commenting, Angela:

“Parliament rises for summer next week, and recess gives me the opportunity to spend time in my constituency and meet the people that I am so privileged to represent.

“It’s often said that politicians are only visible in the run up to elections, but I’m determined to buck that trend.

“Community spirit is strong all across Lanark and Hamilton East, yet many areas are remote and people can often be cut off.

“It’s not fair that a local MP should be more accessible to some constituents more than others.

“My aim this summer is to try to redress that balance and give people across the constituency the opportunity to air their concerns.”

Ms Crawley will also be arranging home visits during this time, which can be arranged through her constituency office on 01698 200065.
