2019 Summer Surgery Tour

A summer surgery tour will be held across Lanark and Hamilton East next week by local MP, Angela Crawley.

Ms Crawley will be touring villages in her constituency during the week of the 22nd of July.

Residents are invited to meet Ms Crawley personally during the tour to discuss any issues they may have.

The surgeries are scheduled to take place in morning sessions at 10am and afternoon sessions from 2pm each day.

Ms Crawley will visit Carnwath Town Hall in the morning of Monday 22 July and Carstairs Junction Hall in the afternoon.

On Tuesday 23 July she will visit the Tom Craig Centre in Law in the morning and Crossford Hall in the afternoon.

She will visit the David Milne Centre in the morning of Wednesday 24 July and the Ferniegair Hall that afternoon.

On Thursday 25 July Ms Crawley will be in the Larkhall District Volunteer Group’s building in the morning and the Dalserf Community Wing in the afternoon.

Sessions will be held on Friday 26th July in the morning in Tarbrax Village Hall and the Willie Waddell Hall in Forth in the afternoon.

Ms Crawley said: “I visited many of the villages in my constituency since my election, and I am always eager to return.

“People often say that they only see politicians in the run up to elections.

“I’m determined to buck that trend.

“Community spirit is strong all across Lanark and Hamilton East, yet many areas are remote and people can often be cut off.

“It’s not fair that a local MP should be more accessible to someone in an urban town than in a rural village.

“My aim this summer is to try to redress that balance and give people across the constituency the opportunity to air their concerns.”

Appointments can be arranged through her constituency office on 01698 200065.
