Warm home scheme for park homes

Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley has urged park home residents to apply for the warm home discount scheme.

Permanent residents of static park homes are eligible for a £150 payment to help with the cost of heating their homes.

The Park Homes Warm Home Discount Scheme closes at the end of March but almost 90 per cent of the funding remains unallocated.

It is an Ofgem approved scheme, which is funded by energy companies and endorsed by Park Homes Associations across England, Wales and Scotland.

To be eligible, residents must live permanently in their park home and pay for electricity directly to the site owner.

Commenting, Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley said:

“I would urge residents to apply for the Park Homes Warm Home Discount Scheme as soon as possible.

“Although the scheme officially ends in March, the funding is allocated on a first-come first-served basis so applying early is important.

“Most of the funding remains unallocated and the payment will make a big difference to residents who may be struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.”
