Childcare policy praised

An independent watchdog has praised the Scottish Government for the implementation of its flagship free childcare expansion policy. Audit Scotland has said that the majority of infrastructure projects and recruitment required to implement the 1,140-hour expansion for three– and four-year-olds and eligible two-year-olds has been successfully completed. Funding for regeneration

Three projects in South Lanarkshire have been awarded funding totalling £1.77 million from the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund. Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley has welcomed the funding which will be “transformational” for the towns and villages involved.
