Step Up September

Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley has signed up to the Trussell Trust’s Step Up September Challenge to raise money for the charity as the cost-of-living crisis deepens.

Step Up September challenges participants to walk for 30 minutes every day in September and put their foot down on hunger.

Already, fundraisers across the UK have raised more than £36,000 as part of the challenge to support the work of the Trussell Trust.

Commenting, Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley said:

“I always try to do my bit so my team and I were happy to sign up for this challenge when we were asked, especially given the pressure household budgets are being put under at the moment.

“Step Up September is not about the distance travelled, rather it is about the time you give and the money you raise to help build a future where nobody needs to use a food bank.

“I would encourage anyone who is able to make a donation to do so and any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.

“For anyone who is struggling with the cost-of-living, my office will always be open to help in anyway we can.”
