
Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley is encouraging residents to take part in South Lanarkshire Council’s play area consultation.
Over the next few years, £3.5 million is set to be invested in improving play areas across the region thanks to a Scottish Government initiative.
Almost £300,000 will be invested in the region’s play areas in year one and the council want to know how they should prioritise spending the money.
Residents can have their say until 31st January 2022 by visiting the council website here.
Commenting, Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley said: “I would encourage everyone to comment on the council’s consultation and ensure the play areas they value can benefit from this funding.
“Play is an important part of childhood and these areas ensure every child has access to a safe outdoor space.
“It is important that residents put forward their views so that the council can make the biggest difference in our communities.”
