MP and MSP set to host Energy Advice Fair

Angela Crawley MP & Aileen Campbell MSP are set to host an ‘Energy Advice Surgery’ in Kirkton Church, Carluke.

The event will open at 11am and close at 1pm.

Confirmed exhibitors include the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Money Matters, Home Energy Scotland, EDF, N-Power, Scottish Gas, Scottish Power and E-ON.

Commenting, Angela said:

“Thousands of my constituents live in fuel poverty and have to make the decision between heating and eating. I want to make sure that residents are getting the best help and advice available.

“Saving money on energy bills can often be as simple as switching your tariff and this event will provide advice on that; along with other steps that can be taken.

“Both Aileen and I are looking forward to welcoming constituents to the surgery and are confident that the advice available will help save some money throughout the winter period.

Following on, Aileen said:

“Our energy advice surgery will have a breadth of organisations on hand to lend advice on energy matters as we head towards the winter months.

“No appointments are necessary and, whether you are needing help with your energy bills or simply would like some information on available tariffs, you are welcome to attend.”
