Angela Crawley MP is set to host a specialist Social Security Surgery to help constituents resolve issues with the Department of Work and Pensions.
The Surgery will take place from 10am to 12 noon on the 23rd of February in the Eddlewood hall.
The Lanark and Hamilton East MP is joining with local organisations to assist residents who have encountered problems with the UK’s social security system.
Constituents will be able to receive assistance from Angela and her team as well as receiving support and guidance from both Money Matters and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Commenting, Angela said:
“My office has provided assistance to thousands of constituents who have been affected by the UK Government’s welfare reform agenda.
“In Parliament, I have raised my constituents concerns about cuts and changes to ESA, Universal Credit, PIP and other benefits– regularly challenging the UK Government to recognise their flaws and change direction.
“Through meeting with constituents, I often hear that practical support is needed, but often found wanting.
“At the event, Welfare experts from both Money Matters and the Citizen Advice Bureau will be on hand to give assistance and guidance to anyone in need.
“So if you have encountered any difficulties when dealing with the DWP, come and visit my Social Security Surgery and we will offer as much help, guidance and information as possible.”
