“I am passionate about helping my constituents fulfil their ambitions – be it in through work, education or training.

“That’s why I’m delighted to be in a position to host my sixth Jobs Fair since becoming an MP, this time in the fantastic Hamilton Town House.

“Too many people find themselves unemployed or underemployed through no fault of their own.

“The Hamilton Jobs Fair will bring professionals from across a variety sectors, including vacancies within the public sector, retail as well as third sector charities to Hamilton. It will be a fantastic opportunity for people to meet employers and apply for vacant posts.

“It’s shaping up to be an exciting day and I hope hundreds of my constituents can make it along”

Following on, Christina said:

“Thanks to the ongoing work of the Scottish Government and its partners Scotland is the best place to find work across these islands. This year the Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures show the number of people jobless in Scotland fell to an all-time low, well below the UK figure.

“Our job fair in Hamilton is a great opportunity to benefit from this success and get access to a whole range of employers from all around our area.

“Also, if you are an employer looking to plug into some of our talented new prospective employees it is not too late to sign yourself up!”
