Angela to host Hamilton Employment Fayre

Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley has today announced that she plans to tackle unemployment in Hamilton by hosting an employment fayre.

The event will take place in the University of West of Scotland Hamilton Campus, in the Almada Hall, on Friday, 19 August, between 10am and 2pm.

The fair marks the second of its kind to be organised by the local MP and follows a successful employment event in Carluke Leisure Centre.

Commenting, Angela said:

“I am delighted to be in a position to host a employment fayre in Hamilton.

“Too many people across my constituency face the problem of unemployment and underemployment through no fault of their own.

“Last month I hosted a similar event in Carluke and the feedback I received was heartening. Over 340 people attended and many found jobs and training.

“But I hope not to simply repeat the success of the Carluke Jobs Fair, but to go further.

“It is my intention to continue to host employment events throughout my term as an MP, and each time I do, I will push to make them bigger and more successful.

“So, if you are out of work, looking for a change in career, for a university or college place, or to up skill, please come along to the Hamilton Employment Fayre on 19 August in UWS Hamilton.
