Angela joins Uddingston Pride to host MacMillan Coffee Morning

Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley joined with Uddingston Pride to host a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event took place in the David Milne Centre on Friday the 28th of September and raised more than £320 for charity.

The coffee morning was supported by Tree House Nursery School and the residents of the neighbouring Croftbank House.

Commenting, Angela said:

“It was a pleasure to host a coffee morning with the team at Uddingston Pride and get the chance to a chat with some of the residents of Uddingston.

“Macmillan do great work for people with cancer and their families, and we are delighted to be able to support their work.

“A huge thanks to everyone who came and especially for the cake donations.”

Following on, The Chair of Uddingston Pride, Liz Wilson said:

“I would like to thank everyone that supported our Macmillan Coffee Morning last Friday and helped raise hundreds of pounds for charity.

“Whether you baked, volunteered on the day or donated money, your generosity will make a huge difference.

“Every penny raised will go towards helping people impacted by cancer live their lives to the full.”
